Q&A: Super-warm ski gloves?

I love to ski, but lately my hands have been super sensative to the cold and they are always freezing numb, I have a good pair of gloves but i think they are getting old
Any suggestions for super warm gloves?

Get mittens. They will keep your hands warmer.

I use a Gore-Tex mitten shell and wear lightweight liner gloves under them.

I’m not gonna kid you…the Mittens retail around $ 90 and the liner gloves go for about $ 30…so it won’t be cheap. But on the other hand, I’ve used $ 100 ski gloves and my hands were cold.

Get mittens or three finger gloves. Your hands stay warmer when you have a couple fingers together.
Swany makes some gloves with a small battery and a heating coil in them.

The best brand of gloves for skiing are Auclair gloves. They have a steep price range of over $ 100.00 but i have poor circulation in my hands and they do it for me.

I’ve always had that problem too! But just this year I decided to try something different. I just got a bunch of pairs of cheap glove liners (like this: http://www.fieldenvironmental.com/Glove%20Liners%20(S).htm). I’m not sure how tight your gloves are, but I’ve managed to be able to wear 2-3 liners and my gloves comfortably, and I’ve found it to be significantly warmer.

It’s time for new gloves. Try some on. LL Bean is a great place to buy this kind of clothing and they have the best guarantee. You can return them if they don’t work out and the quality is top knotch. You want gloves that have a lot of padding. Move your fingers around because that will help your circulation and keep you warm.

try looking at the Hestra website, they have awesome gloves and good mittens for women. My ski team is sponsored by them so I know they are good because my I have some and my hands usually get really cool but not with Hestra gloves. They are a little pricey but definitley worth it and they are really durable so they will last long. it will be worth the money. good luck!
